The core insight

The brain keeps learning. Practice gives it something to learn.

Research links stuttering to differences in the brain networks that time and control speech, especially the basal ganglia-thalamocortical loop, and many people who stutter describe a freeze-like stress response around speaking. Studies of speech therapy in adults have documented changes in brain activity after treatment. EloSpeak does not measure or change your brain directly. It gives you a structured daily practice built from methods with published research behind them.

Why consistency is the mechanism, not the marketing. Learning research links motivation and reward to how well practice sticks, and skills of every kind are built by coming back to them. EloSpeak's streak and daily rewards are not decoration. They are there to make coming back easy, because consistency is what practice needs.

We're not a clinic, and we're not your speech-language pathologist. We're the practice layer that sits between sessions, built around the research on how speech skills are practiced.

Built around one idea.

Eloquence, practiced.

Eloquence is not only a gift you are born with. Speaking skills grow with repetition, and every confident voice you have admired was practiced. The great orators trained. The smooth conversationalists practiced. The speakers who never seem to fumble built that ease one repetition at a time.

Eloquence is not only a gift. It is a skill, practiced into being.

Stuttering has real neurological roots, and it is not your fault. Structured practice can help many people speak with more ease, one ten-minute session at a time. That is the entire premise of EloSpeak.

We are not promising a cure. We are giving you a structured daily practice built from methods with published research behind them. Pulled from the research. Sequenced for daily use. Ten minutes at a time. Eloquence, practiced.

The protocol

The 5 pillars

EloSpeak is your daily practice coach for people who stutter. Each pillar is backed by published research. Together they form the daily 10-minute sequence.

Pillar 1

Nervous System Reset

Guided breathing to settle the body before speaking: 4-7-8 breath, the physiological sigh, and more. Runs before any speech work begins.

4-7-8Physiological sigh
Arrive at the speech work calm, not white-knuckled.
Pillar 2

Neural Speech Training

Daily speech-pattern drills on a personal exposure ladder: slow rate, light contact, prolonged speech, easy onset, pull-out, and articulator dexterity through tongue twisters and phoneme-focused phrases.

Exposure ladderEasy onsetArticulation
Build new speech patterns through repetition.
Pillar 3

Mind Rewire

CBT, ACT, and mindfulness for the cognitive spiral that comes after a hard speaking moment. Thought defusion, fear-word exposure, IBSR inquiry, 5-senses grounding.

CBTACTIBSR
Break the loop between a block and the fear of the next.
Pillar 4

Real-time DAF

Hold-to-activate Delayed Auditory Feedback at a 75 ms delay, adjustable from 50 to 150 ms with Plus. The same technique behind dedicated DAF hardware, which has typically cost thousands of dollars.

75 ms delayHold to activate
Speak under a slight echo of your own voice.
Pillar 5

Fluency Analytics

A self-rated fluency score, charts, and weekly insights from every session. Tracks your fluency check-ins, streaks, and session history.

Self-ratingStreaksWeekly insight
See the change, and with Plus, share a clinician-ready summary.

One sequence

Same structure,
every single day.

Ten minutes. Five methods. Repeated daily, because consistent practice is what builds new speech habits.

Inside the app

A calm, fluid daily practice

The Today screen with the streak, the tagline, the Begin button, and Ready for the Moment.

Today

Your session, your streak, and Ready for the Moment at a glance.

The Regulate phase: a 4-7-8 breathing circle on the Hold step, with the timer at 1:54.

Regulate

A breathing circle that expands and contracts with you.

The Reinforce phase: an open-speaking prompt, the hold-to-hear orb, and the DAF delay slider at 75 ms.

Reinforce

Hold to hear your voice with a short delay. A live meter shows the microphone is on.

Real screens from the iOS app. The streak and session counts are sample practice data.

The daily 10 minutes

Regulate. Rewire. Reinforce.

0:00 to 2:00
2:00 to 7:00
7:00 to 10:00

0:00 to 2:00

Regulate

Nervous System Reset. Guided breathing pulls you out of freeze response so you arrive at the speech work calm.

2:00 to 7:00

Rewire

Neural Speech Training plus Mind Rewire. Speech drills on your ladder, then a short cognitive exercise.

7:00 to 10:00

Reinforce

DAF practice, then rate how it felt and log the session to keep your streak alive.

Why daily: speech practice builds over weeks, not days, through repetition. The protocol is built around that.

How it works

Three steps, then repeat

1

Open the app

One tap starts your 10-minute session. Same structure every day, so there is nothing to decide.

2

Move through the sequence

Regulate, Rewire, Reinforce. Breathe, drill, reframe, and practice with DAF.

3

Rate it and log it

Tell the app how it felt. That self-rating becomes your fluency score and feeds your weekly insight.

What changes with consistency

The point is the practice

Calmer starts

When the nervous system reset becomes a habit, you walk into speaking moments regulated instead of braced.

New patterns, repeated

Daily speech drills give your brain the repetition it needs to lay down alternatives to the block.

A quieter spiral

The mind work shortens the loop between a hard moment and the fear of the next one.

Questions

Frequently asked

We won't promise it will. Stuttering is varied, and what works for one person may not work the same way for another. What we can say: the five methods inside EloSpeak are each backed by published research, and the daily practice is built for the consistency that practice-based change needs, over weeks rather than days. The daily practice is free so you can find out for yourself rather than take our word for it.

Adults and teens who stutter and want a short, structured daily practice. It is not designed for young children. If you are a parent, the best first step is a speech-language pathologist who works with children who stutter.

A two-minute prep you open right before a real speaking situation, like a phone call, an introduction, or an order: a short breath, three warm-up lines, and a cue to take with you. Afterward, one tap notes whether you went for it. It counts attempts, not fluency, because approaching speaking situations rather than avoiding them is a core part of many stuttering therapy approaches.

It's different, not better. An SLP can do things EloSpeak can't. They can diagnose, run live conversation therapy, coordinate with schools or employers. EloSpeak does what an SLP usually can't: be there every single day, for 10 minutes, in your pocket, for less than the cost of one session per month. It's built for people who have tried therapy and stalled, who can't afford to keep going, or who want to use EloSpeak between sessions to make therapy go further.

Yes, and that's the whole point of the design. Practice works through repetition. That's why the practice is 10 minutes, not 60. It's why we built the streak system. It's why every session has the exact same structure. Most of the difficulty isn't doing the work. It's remembering to. EloSpeak is engineered around that. And when life gets in the way, one missed day won't break your streak: a grace day covers it, once a week.

Delayed Auditory Feedback. You hear yourself with a short delay, typically 50 to 150 ms, through headphones. For many people who stutter, that makes speech more fluent while it is on. It's been used clinically for decades, and dedicated DAF hardware has typically cost thousands of dollars. EloSpeak includes hold-to-activate DAF in the daily practice, and Plus adds slide-to-lock so it stays on for a whole in-person conversation. Phones can't apply DAF to a live phone call, so use it to warm up before one.

Yes, anytime, in your App Store subscription settings. We don't make you call, email, or fill out a form. If you start a 7-day free trial, you won't be charged during it. After that, monthly billing is $9.99 (or $89.99 annual) and you can cancel before any future renewal.

No, and it isn't meant to. If you're working with an SLP, EloSpeak gives you a daily practice layer between sessions, and Plus adds a PDF summary of your practice, including real-world speaking moments and weekly confidence check-ins, plus a spreadsheet of the same records, that you can choose to share with them.

Yes. EloSpeak has no accounts, ads, trackers, or analytics. DAF is never recorded: the microphone feeds your ears live, and nothing is stored. The only recordings are practice clips you choose to make with the Record button; they stay on your phone, are left out of device backups, are never uploaded, and you can delete them any time in Settings. Your practice history stays on your device, and you can erase it any time from Settings. Read the Privacy Policy.
